Our Client in the Solar sector is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven B2B Sales Executive to join the dynamic commercial team.This role is pivotal in engaging and converting potential clients—including businesses, schools, institutions, NGOs, government agencies, and commercial/industrial customers—into long-term partners for our Solar PV power plant solutions.

The ideal candidate should bring a strong background in B2B solar energy sales with a proven record of closing high-value deals across Kenya and East Africa.You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our market share, and delivering sustainable energy solutions to institutional and industrial clients.

  • Identify, engage, and qualify leads among commercial and institutional clients interested in solar PV systems.
  • Conduct meetings to educate prospects on solar solutions, value propositions, and pricing structures.
  • Customize proposals and quotations based on clients’ energy needs, roof structures, and technical feasibility.
  • Provide detailed technical and financial insights, including system sizing, ROI, available incentives, and funding options.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline through consistent prospecting, networking, and follow-ups.
  • Drive full sales cycles: from lead generation and consultation to negotiation, closing, and contract signing.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility assessments, timely site visits, and smooth execution of projects.
  • Ensure payment collection at key project milestones, in alignment with agreed terms.
  • Foster and manage distributor and partner relationships to unlock new opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, policy changes, competitor offerings, and emerging solar technologies.
  • Represent the company in exhibitions, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Submit timely and detailed reports on customer engagement, sales pipeline, wins/losses, and market intelligence.
  • Achieve a monthly sales target of atleast 10 million in closed deals.
  • Conduct at least 20 qualified sales meetings per month.
  • Maintain a conversion rate of at least 30% from meetings to closed deals.
  • Sustain a sales pipeline of 50+ active leads at any given time.
  • Ensure 100% lead follow-up within 24 hours of initial contact.
  • Guarantee 100% milestone-based payment collection.
  • Submit weekly sales reports with accurate updates, challenges, and next steps.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B solar energy sales.
  • Demonstrated success in selling Solar PV systems, hybrid systems, and solar water pumping solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Kenya’s and East Africa’s solar energy landscape.
