I’m Albert Festus, an IT and Sales & Marketing expert with over 10 years of working experience in the consumer goods industry, FMCG Companies, Retail Distribution Solution Companies, and Distributors & Stockists businesses both in Kenya and East Africa.
- How long had you been looking for a job?
I began my job search while still working and it took me 2 weeks to get a new job. I was looking for a new opportunity that would expose me to new challenges and expand my experience because where I was working; there was limited space for learning and career growth.

It was not complicated so to say because I was still working and after submitting my application, I was invited for an online interview with Corporate Staffing.

There are various vital factors that employers look at in candidates, for example, confidence, problem-solving skills, positive mindset, adaptability, and unique values and features that will make them stand out from other applicants.

The job search can be daunting but it is important to remain focused and never give up, understand what the employer is looking for, and position yourself as the ideal candidate.

Be strategic. Approach your job search with a clear plan, have career objectives, and identify the roles that are aligned with your goals to increase your chances of getting a job.
