I was recently invited to talk to fresh graduates on job searching skills.
One of the topics we discussed was on how to make online applications. As easy as it seems, many Kenyan job seekers do not know how to go about making online job application.
Below are the tips i shared on making online job applications.
- To Use professional email addresses
- Apply for jobs they qualify for- ensure they meet 75% of the criteria specified on the JD
- Ensure you indicate the position you are applying on the email subject line i.e Application for a Procurement Manager Job Ref PRO004567
- On the minimum paste the content of the cover letter in the body of the email
- Use as many Keywords relevant for the field they are applying for
- Print or save a copy of application for future reference
